This Week Under The Book Shepherd’s Roof
Hello and Good Publishing Day to YOU …
It’s a good day to be an author. Words matter. Yours. People are looking for common sense and wisdom. Time to let them know that you are here … don’t you think?
And think about words … your words … do you know how to protect them? This Saturday’s program with intellectual property attorney Julie Bernard is one that NONE of you should be missing. Starting at 9 am Mountain, it’s a Zoom affair to remember. Be there. details below

Last Friday and Saturday was truly a “working lab” for the authors participating in the first Social Media Unplugged. Over two days, nine hours of interactive ahas, insights, tells, and show experiences. As participant Deb Armstrong said, “You’ve taken me into several new dark holes of learning that I didn’t know about.” New apps. New how-tos. New step-by-steps. New fun. All registered participants will get the link for replays. Otherwise, it’s not available. My take—you need to be there. The next Social Media Unplugged will be scheduled for the fall.

And finally … most of the snow has melted around my home and I can view what’s promising to come up. The bulbs are a tad slow, but I see Iris and Daffodils showing green on the corners of my home and in batches—as if “we hang together, we might grow together.” Spring cutting back is slated to start next week with shrubs and my tube finch feeders that were put up over the weekend are showing a decline each day—they’ve been discovered. Of course, it is springtime in the Rockies and yesterday am, it was 20 degrees after 75 the day before. Two inches of new snow … but the finches declared their territory.

Looking forward to the final session of the Amazon Bestseller 4-week workshop today that every participant has been able to truly claim “I’m a #1 bestseller on Amazon” … and not for just an hour. They are talking multiple days in multiple categories. The next session will roll out in May. Would love to have you part of the author success train.

Happy dance in my offices. Our podcast, AuthorU-Your Guide to Book Publishing enjoyed another million downloads month. Kinda cool.

This week, author Bruce Mackenzie is offering the eBook FREE download for The Shroud Solution. Thursday through Saturday, it’s a quick download at Bit.ly/ShroudSolution.

Have you ever explored the network website where I store all my podcasts? Holy Moly … over 6 million downloads of various podcasts already. Fun watching the download numbers—something that I look at each morning with my hot mug of tea.
Last week, publicist DM Collins stepped up to the mic to share tips on grabbing producers’ attention and media power. This week, it’s me going solo with author and publishing trends for 2021.

You can select which podcast is for you from over 350 shows and 6,000,000 total downloads since the show started … the latest will always be posted on top of the show page: http://bit.ly/BookPublishingPodcast--it goes directly to the Show Page, where you can view all podcasts at once—just scroll … you’ve got a lot to pick from to expand your learning and how to curve.

Questions of the Week:

Question: Should I use a social media scheduler?

Answer: That would be a big YES. Schedulers bring sanity back to your social media life. Otherwise, it can be a time sucker and rabbit hole combined.
